- Tejori is not responsible for delays caused by couriers or any unforeseeable circumstances or events.
8. RETURNS, REFUNDS, PAYMENT HOLDING & DISPUTES
8.1 Payment Holding & Release
- Payment holding: When a Buyer completes a purchase, payment is taken and held securely through Tejori’s payment process until the transaction is completed in accordance with these Terms.
- Seller dispatch: Sellers must dispatch the item within 5 working days of the sale, unless otherwise agreed with the Buyer or otherwise stated on the listing.
- Failure to dispatch: If the Seller does not dispatch the item within the required timeframe, Tejori may cancel the transaction and arrange a refund to the Buyer, subject to any applicable payment provider requirements and applicable law.
- Confirmed delivery: Once tracking confirms that the item has been delivered, the Buyer has 48 hours to raise a dispute in accordance with Tejori’s Buyer Protection & Disputes Policy.
- Release of funds: If no eligible dispute is raised within 48 hours of confirmed delivery, the transaction will normally be treated as complete and the funds will be released to the Seller, subject to payment provider requirements, any applicable holds, and applicable law.
- Disputes: If a Buyer raises a dispute within the 48-hour period, Tejori may place the Seller’s payment on hold while the dispute is reviewed. Tejori may request evidence from the Buyer and Seller and may determine the appropriate outcome in accordance with the Buyer Protection & Disputes Policy and applicable law.
- Legal rights: The 48-hour Buyer Protection period is Tejori’s platform reporting period and does not exclude or limit any statutory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
8.2 Returns & Refunds
- General returns: Tejori is a peer-to-peer marketplace and does not offer general or discretionary returns or refunds for change of mind, sizing, fit, preference or simply no longer wanting an item.
- Buyer Protection: A Buyer may be eligible for a refund or other remedy where there is a valid issue covered by Tejori’s Buyer Protection & Disputes Policy. Eligible issues may include:
- The item is materially different from the listing or photographs;
- The wrong item was received;
- The item has significant damage or defects that were not disclosed in the listing;
- A significant item or component is missing;
- The item does not arrive.
- Excluded reasons: Tejori will not normally accept disputes relating to change of mind, personal preference, fit where accurate sizing or measurements were provided, minor colour differences caused by lighting or screens, disclosed wear or damage, or issues that were clearly shown or described in the listing.
- Returns: Buyers must not return an item unless Tejori has instructed or authorised them to do so. Where a return is authorised, the Buyer must follow Tejori’s return instructions and return the item within the specified timeframe and in the condition in which it was received.
- Return postage: Where Tejori determines that an approved dispute is the Seller’s responsibility, the Seller will be responsible for the reasonable cost of return postage and for ensuring that the item is returned to them. Where the issue is not determined to be the Seller’s responsibility, the Buyer may be responsible for return postage.
- Refunds: Depending on the circumstances and evidence available, Tejori may determine that a transaction should be cancelled, a full or partial refund issued, or the Seller’s payment released. Any refund will be subject to the applicable payment provider process and applicable law.
- Business Sellers: Where an item is sold by a Seller acting in the course of business or as a trader, the Buyer may have additional statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law, including rights relating to cancellation, faulty goods or goods not as described. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
8.3 Disputes
- 48-hour reporting period: Buyers must report an eligible problem within 48 hours of confirmed delivery to be considered under Tejori’s Buyer Protection process.
- Evidence: Buyers should provide clear and relevant evidence, which may include photographs of the item, packaging and damage, screenshots of the listing, measurements, delivery information or other evidence reasonably requested by Tejori.
- Seller evidence: Tejori may request information from the Seller, including the original listing, photographs taken before dispatch, evidence of the item’s condition, proof of postage, tracking information and any other relevant information.
- Review process: Tejori will review the information and evidence provided by the Buyer and Seller and determine the appropriate outcome in accordance with these Terms, the Buyer Protection & Disputes Policy and applicable law.
- Possible outcomes: Following a dispute review, Tejori may release the Seller’s payment, require the item to be returned, issue a full or partial refund, cancel the transaction, or take other appropriate action.
- Payment hold: Where a dispute is raised within the applicable 48-hour period, Tejori may place the Seller’s payment on hold while the matter is reviewed.
- Unauthorised returns: Buyers must not return an item directly to a Seller unless instructed or authorised by Tejori. Unauthorised returns may affect the Buyer’s eligibility for a refund or other remedy.
- Late disputes: Disputes raised after the 48-hour Buyer Protection period may not be eligible for review under Tejori’s Buyer Protection process. This does not exclude or limit any statutory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
- Misuse of the dispute process: Tejori may take action where there is evidence of fraudulent or abusive use of the dispute process, including false claims, misleading evidence, deliberate damage, returning a different item, or attempting to obtain both the item and a refund.
8.4 Seller Responsibility
Sellers are strongly encouraged to provide accurate, honest, and complete descriptions of Listings, including condition and defects, and to retain proof of postage and a valid tracking number for all dispatched items. Failure to do so may result in refunds being issued, non-release of funds, account action, or removal from the Platform.

Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
13. Indemnity
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. These rights apply particularly where a Seller is acting in the course of business.
